Input Shaft Disassemble

^ Tools Required
- J 36513 Gear and Bearing Separator Plate
- J 44378 Press Adapter





1. Remove the thrust washer (1).
2. Remove the thrust bearing (2).
3. Remove the 4th gear (3).
4. Remove the caged needle bearing (4).





5. Remove the bearing collar and the 3rd /4th synchronizer from the input shaft using the J 36513 (2) under the 3rd speed gear, the J 44378 (1), and a hydraulic press.





6. Remove the following components as an assembly:
6.1. The bearing collar (1)
6.2. The 4th gear blocking ring (2)
6.3. The 3rd /4th synchronizer assembly (3)
6.4. The thrust washer (4)
6.5. The thrust bearing (5)
6.6. The 3rd gear blocking ring (6)
6.7. The 3rd gear (7)





7. Remove the caged needle bearing (1).
8. Remove the caged needle bearing (1).
9. Remove the thrust bearing (2).





10. Press off 5th gear using the J 44378 (1), the J 36513 (2) and a hydraulic press.
