Shifter Disassemble

Important: Observe the orientation of the roll pin (4) before removal.





1. Remove the reverse inhibit roll pin (4). Discard the inhibit roll pin.
2. Remove the roll pin (3). Discard the roll pin.
3. Remove the outer control lever (1).
4. Remove the inner control lever (2).





5. Remove the roll pin (2). Discard the roll pin.
6. Remove the shift lever (1).





7. Remove the seal (1).
8. Remove the shift cover (7).
9. Remove the shift cover bushing (2).
10. Remove the retainer (6).
11. Remove the washer (5).
12. Remove the select lever (3).
13. Remove the bearing (8).
14. Remove the bushings (4).





15. Remove the retainers (1). Discard the retainers.
16. Remove the outer spring seat (2).
17. Remove the outer spring (3).
18. Remove the inner spring (4).
19. Remove the inner spring seat (5).
20. Remove the end cap (6) from the shift rod (7).





21. Clean all components in a suitable solution.
22. Inspect all components for wear or damage.
