Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble

1. Remove the steering column tilt head assembly. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Telescoping) or Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Non-Telescoping).
2. Pop the wire harness assembly (1) from the wire harness strap (2).
3. Disconnect the connector, if necessary.





4. Remove the wire harness strap (2) from the steering column tilt head assembly.
5. Remove the wire harness strap (2) from the wire harness assemblies.





6. Depress the top and bottom clips on the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly.
7. Slide the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly away from the electric column lock to disengage.





8. Disconnect the electric column lock connector.
9. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (1).
10. Remove the electric column lock (2) from the steering column tilt head assembly.
