Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR OR SWITCH REPLACEMENT

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 25254-10 A Oil Pressure Sending Unit Socket

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the engine oil pressure (EOP) sensor using J 25254-10 A.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EOP sensor.

NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Hold the EOP sensor fitting with a wrench to prevent from turning. Use J 25254-10 A in order to tighten the EOP sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
