Camshaft Phase Solenoid Command
This parameter indicates whether the
PCM is controlling the Camshaft Position
(CMP) actuator solenoid valve. The scan tool will display Active when the PCM is commanding the CMP actuator solenoid. A CMP actuator solenoid that is in an Active mode is not necessarily advancing the camshaft phase. Only about
50 percent of the CMP actuator solenoid movement results in advancement of the camshaft phase.
