Audible Warning Device Control Module: Service and Repair

MULTIFUNCTION ALARM MODULE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the IP drivers knee bolster reinforcement.
3. Remove the screw (2) from Junction Block # 2 (1) and position the junction block in order to gain access to the multifunction alarm module.




4. Disconnect the 2 multifunction alarm module electrical connectors.
5. Disconnect the multifunction alarm module (1) from the rear of Junction Block # 2 (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the multifunction alarm module (1) to the rear of Junction Block # 2 (2).
2. Connect the 2 multifunction alarm module electrical connectors.




3. Reposition Junction Block #2 (1) back into position. Secure the junction block with the screw (2).
4. Install the IP drivers knee bolster reinforcement.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
