Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the electrical connector from the idle air control (IAC) valve.
2. Remove both attaching bolts.
3. Remove the IAC valve (2) from the intake collector (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install a new IAC valve gasket (2) to the intake collector (3).
2. Install the IAC valve (1) to the intake collector (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Secure the IAC valve with the two bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 3.5 N.m (30 lb in).

4. Connect the IAC valve electrical connector.
