Ambient Light Sensor: Service and Repair

DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) AMBIENT LIGHT SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel upper trim. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel Gauges and Warning Indicators.
2. Remove the security system LED. Refer to LED Indicator Replacement - Vehicle Security System in Antitheft and Alarm Systems.
3. Twist the daytime running lamp sensor counterclockwise in order to remove the sensor from the instrument panel upper trim.
4. Remove the daytime running lamp sensor from the wiring harness.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the daytime running lamp sensor to the wiring harness.
2. Position the daytime running lamp sensor in the instrument panel upper trim and twist in order to secure.
3. Install the security system LED. Refer to LED Indicator Replacement - Vehicle Security System in Antitheft and Alarm Systems.
4. Install the instrument panel upper trim. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
