Transmission Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Disconnect all of the electrical connectors from the control module and the module interface.




3. Remove the 3 screws securing the module interface to the bracket.
4. Remove the 4 screws, the washers, and the nuts securing the bracket to the frame rail.
5. Remove the 4 screws securing the control module to the bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the 4 screws in order to secure the control module to the bracket.
2. Install the 4 screws, the washers, and the nuts in order to secure the bracket assembly to the frame rail.
3. Install the 3 screws in order to secure the module interface to the bracket.
4. Connect all of the electrical connectors to the control module and to the module interface.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

5. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
