Front (Sedan)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the front bucket seat.
2. Remove the recliner finish cover screws.
3. Remove the recliner finish cover from the seat.
4. At the bottom of the seat back disengage the J-hook retainer for the seat back cover.
5. Remove enough of the seat back pad and cover to access the upper recliner bolts (1).
6. Remove the recliner bolts (1, 2).
7. Remove the recliner from the seat.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the recliner to the seat.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the recliner bolts (1, 2)

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the seat back pad and cover to a desired appearance.
4. At the bottom of the seat back engage the J-hook retainers for the seat back cover.
5. Install the recliner finish cover to the seat.
6. Install the recliner finish cover screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

7. Install the bucket seat.
8. Reposition the seat back to the original position.
9. Check the seat back recliner for proper operation.
