Generator Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect both the battery negative cables from the batteries.
2. Remove the upper fan shroud from the radiator.
3. Remove the generator from the generator bracket.
4. Remove the drive bell tensioner from the generator bracket.
5. Remove the vacuum pump from the generator bracket.
6. Remove the generator bracket bolts from the engine block.
7. Remove the generator bracket from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the generator bracket to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the generator bracket bolts to the engine block.

Tighten
Tighten the generator bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the drive belt tensioner to the generator bracket.
4. Install the vacuum pump to the generator bracket.
5. Install the generator to the generator bracket.
6. Install the upper fan shroud to the radiator.
7. Connect both the battery negative cables to the batteries.
