Recirculation Door Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the coolant recovery tank or the surge tank.
3. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Remove the accumulator.
6. Remove the evaporator tube from the evaporator.
7. Remove the screws (2) from the evaporator front cover (3).
8. Remove the evaporator front cover (3).
9. Separate the case halves.
10. Remove the recirculation door actuator (7) and the linkage.
11. Remove the recirculation door (1) from the evaporator case (6).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the recirculation door (1) to the evaporator case (6).
2. Install the recirculation door actuator (7) and the linkage.
3. Install the evaporator front cover (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the screws (2) to the evaporator front cover (3).

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

5. Install the evaporator tube to the evaporator.
6. Install the accumulator.
7. Connect the electrical connectors.
8. Install the battery to the vehicle.
9. Install the coolant recovery tank or the surge tank.
10. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
