Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Loosen the duct clamp located on the flex hose nearest the air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly bolts (3).
3. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connectors.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install air cleaner assembly
2. Reconnect the IAT sensor and the MAF sensor electrical connectors.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the air cleaner assembly bolts (3).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

4. Tighten the duct clamp.
