J 42059 Cigarette Lighter Socket Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the cigarette lighter fuse.




2. Remove the cigarette lighter socket by placing one side of the "T" portion of J 42059 into the tab window. Place the other side angled into the opposite tab window. Pull the power accessory port socket straight out.
3. Remove the tool from the cigarette lighter socket.




4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the front floor console cigarette lighter.




5. Use your index finger in order to pull out the cigarette lighter retainer.

Installation Procedure




1. Using J 42059 position the cigarette lighter retainer into the cigarette lighter hole.




2. Install the cigarette lighter retainer. Press into place until the retainer is fully seated.




3. Connect the electrical connector to the front floor console cigarette lighter.




4. Position the cigarette lighter socket to the retainer.




5. Install the cigarette lighter socket into the front floor console. Press into place until the socket is fully seated.
6. Install the cigarette lighter fuse.
7. Inspect the cigarette lighter for proper operation.
