Locking System Module Replacement - Front Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front door water deflector.
2. Remove the front door window.




3. Remove the front door system locking module nuts.
4. Remove the front door system locking module bolt.
5. Remove the front door system locking module screw.
6. Remove the front door lock screws.
7. Remove the front door system locking module from the front door to gain access to the front door lock.
8. Disconnect the front door outside handle lock rods from the front door lock.
9. Disconnect the electrical harness from the front door system locking module and position aside.
10. Remove the front door system locking module from the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the front door system locking module to the front door.
2. Connect the front door outside handle lock rods to the front door lock.
3. Connect the electrical harness to the front door system locking module.
4. Position the front door lock to the inside of the front door and align the front door system locking module to the studs on the front door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the front door system locking module nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the front door system locking module bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Install the front door system locking module screw.

Tighten the screw to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

8. Install the front door lock screws.

Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

9. Install the front door window.
10. Install the front door water deflector.
