Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

INSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disable the air bag. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the left sunshade.
3. Remove the left windshield garnish.
4. Remove the sunroof molding trim, if equipped.
5. Remove the left rear assist handle.
6. Remove the upper console.
7. Using a flat-bladed tool, gently pry out the air temperature sensor.
8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the air temperature sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the electrical connector from the air temperature sensor.
2. Install the air temperature sensor.
3. Install the upper console.
4. Install the left rear assist handle.
5. Install the sunroof molding trim, if equipped.
6. Install the left windshield garnish.
7. Install the left sunshade.
8. Enable the air bag. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
