Scan Tool Data Definitions

The SIR scan tool data definitions contain a brief description of all SIR related parameters available on the scan tool. The parameters that are available on the scan tool are listed below in alphabetical order.

Driver Side Belt Status: The scan tool displays whether the driver seat belt is buckled or unbuckled.

Driver Frontal Loop Status: The scan tool displays whether the driver side air bag deployment loop is within the normal operating voltage range.

Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0 - 20 volts. This is the system voltage measured by the SDM between the ignition input and ground.

Passenger Frontal Loop Status: The scan tool displays whether the passenger side air bag deployment loop is within the normal operating voltage range.

Warning Lamp Cycles: The scan tool displays the number of cycles that the air bag warning indicator has been turned ON.

Warning Lamp ON: The scan tool displays the time, in minutes, that the air bag warning indicator has been turned ON.
