Compressor Mounting Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the cooling fan drive belt.
3. Remove the 2 bolts (1) and the cooling fan drive belt tensioner.
4. Remove the A/C compressor and position aside. Do not discharge the refrigerant system.
5. Remove the 4 bolts (2) and the A/C compressor mounting bracket from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket to the vehicle. Secure the bracket with the 4 bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the 4 bolts to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).

2. Install the A/C compressor.
3. Install the cooling fan drive belt tensioner.
4. Install the cooling fan drive belt.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
