Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the wire harness from the compartment lid applique.

Important: Do not detach the remote release cable from the compartment lid latch.

2. Remove the compartment lid latch.
3. Remove the rear lid spoiler.
4. With an assistant remove the rear lid lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid.
5. With an assistant remove the compartment lid hinge bolts (1) from the rear compartment lid (3).
6. With an assistant remove the compartment lid (3).

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant install the rear compartment lid (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. With an assistant install the hinge bolts (1) to the rear compartment lid (3).

Tighten the rear compartment hinge to lid bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

3. Install the compartment lid latch.
4. Install the rear lid spoiler.
5. Install the rear lid lock cylinder.
6. Connect the wire harness to the compartment lid applique.
7. Adjust the compartment lid as necessary. Refer to Compartment Lid Adjustment - Rear.
