Seat Back Frame: Service and Repair



SEAT BACK FRAME REPLACEMENT - FRONT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
2. Remove the seat back cover and pad.
3. Remove the head restraint support.
4. Remove the lumbar assembly.




5. Remove the four seat recliner mounting bolts securing the seat back frame to the seat back recliner mechanism.
6. Remove the seat back frame.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the seat back frame to the seat back recliner mechanism with four bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the seat recliner mounting bolts to 26 N.m (19 lb ft).
2. Install the lumbar assembly.
3. Install the head restraint support.
4. Install the seat back pad and cover.
5. Install the seat in the vehicle.
