Handle Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Lower the endgate.
3. Remove the rear compartment lid endgate liner. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement (Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement) .
4. Remove the rear compartment endgate access panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Access Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .




5. Remove the bell crank fasteners.




6. Remove the endgate handle fasteners.




7. Remove the endgate handle from the rear compartment endgate access panel.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the endgate handle into the rear compartment endgate access panel.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the endgate handle fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 7 N.m (61 lb in).





3. Install the bell crank.




4. Install the bell crank fastener.

Tighten the fastener to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

5. Install the rear compartment endgate access panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Access Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the rear compartment endgate liner. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement (Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement)
7. Close the endgate.
8. Close the rear compartment lid.
