Headlamp: Service and Repair

HEADLAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the upper grille applique molding.
3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Remove the wheel assembly.
5. Remove the wheelhouse liner.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the headlamp bulbs.




7. Remove the nuts from the headlamp in the following sequence 1, 2,3.
8. Remove the headlamp from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the headlamp assembly into the opening.
2. Install the headlamp into the vehicle.
3. Install the nuts to the headlamp in the following sequence (1, 2, 3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the headlamp fasteners to 10 N.m (88 lb in).
4. Connect the electrical connectors to the headlamp bulbs.
5. Install the wheelhouse liner.
6. Install the wheel assembly.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Install the upper grille applique molding.
9. Close the hood.
