Wiper Motor: Service and Repair



WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the hood
2. Remove the wiper arms.
3. Remove the air inlet grille panel.
4. Remove the wiper transmission.




5. Remove the wiper motor fasteners.
6. Pull upward on the wiper motor.
7. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
8. Remove the wiper motor from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the wiper motor into the vehicle.
2. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
3. Install the wiper motor fasteners.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the wiper motor fasteners to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

4. Install the wiper transmission.
5. Install the air inlet grille panel.
6. Install the wiper arms.
7. Close the hood.
