Hinge Replacement - End Gate Lower

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the right tail lamp.
2. Remove the 4 bolts (1) that retain the endgate lower hinge (2) to the endgate panel.
3. Remove the 3 bolts (3) that retain the endgate lower hinge (2) to the door jamb.
4. Remove the endgate lower hinge (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the endgate lower hinge (2) to the vehicle. Secure the hinge to the door jamb with the 3 mounting bolts (3). Do not tighten completely at this time.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 4 bolts (1) that retain the endgate lower hinge (2) to the endgate panel.

Tighten the endgate lower hinge mounting bolts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

3. Install the right tail lamp.
