Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Place a protective covering over the adjacent body panels.
3. Remove the rear compartment spoiler, if equipped.
4. Remove the rear compartment lid applique.
5. Remove the rear compartment lid lock cylinder.
6. Remove the rear compartment lid latch.
7. Remove the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers from the rear compartment lid.
8. Remove the wire harness from the rear compartment lid.
9. Place the lid harness in the rear compartment.




10. With an assistant, remove the rear compartment lid bolts (2) from the rear compartment lid.
11. With an assistant, remove the rear compartment lid (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant, position the rear compartment lid (1) to the hinges.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the rear compartment lid bolts (2) to the rear compartment lid.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the rear compartment lid wiring harness to the rear compartment lid.
4. Install the rear compartment spoiler, if equipped.
5. Install the rear compartment lid applique.
6. Install the rear compartment lid lock cylinder.
7. Install the rear compartment lid latch.
8. Install the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers.
9. Remove the protective covering from the adjacent body panels.
10. Adjust the rear compartment lid as necessary.
11. Close the rear compartment.
