Lateral Link Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.





3. Remove the ABS harness from the link.





4. Remove the link to knuckle bolt (1), nut (5) and washer (4).
5. Push the bolt (1) out enough to provide link removal clearance, remove the bolt to replace both links.






6. Important:
If removing a rear lateral link, scribe the Cam Bolt (2) and install in the same position.

Remove the link nut (6), (8), and bolt (2), (7), at the rear suspension support (1).
7. Remove the lateral link (4).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the lateral link (4) to the vehicle.

2. Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the lateral link nut (6) (8) and bolt (2) (7) at the rear suspension support (1).
^ Tighten the lateral link to suspension support bolt to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the link to knuckle bolt (1), the washer (4) and the nut (5).
^ Tighten the lateral link to knuckle bolt to 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the ABS harness to the link.
5. Install the tire and wheel.
6. Lower the vehicle.
