Engine Flywheel Replacement

^ Tools Required
- J 45059 Angle Meter

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the transmission.
2. Remove the flywheel bolts. Discard the bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel.
4. Clean and inspect the flywheel.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the flywheel to the crankshaft

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the new flywheel bolts.
2.1. Tighten the flywheel bolts to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).
2.2. Use the J 45059 to rotate the flywheel bolts an additional 45 degrees.
3. Install the transmission.
