Handle Rod Retainer Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure




1. Open the endgate.
2. Remove the fasteners (1) retaining the endgate handle bezel.
3. Remove the endgate handle bezel
4. Release the endgate latch rod from the handle rod retainer.




5. Release the retaining clip (2) and remove the handle rod retainer from the handle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the handle rod retainer to the handle, ensuring the retaining clip (2) is fully seated.
2. Attach the endgate latch rod to the handle rod retainer.
3. Install the endgate handle bezel.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the fasteners (1) retaining the endgate handle bezel.

Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

5. Close the endgate.
