Front Seat Heater Element Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Service and Repair.

2. Remove the rear console compartment.





3. Disconnect the SIR and the heated seat wiring harness.

4. Remove the seat back and the cushion. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement Front Seat Back Replacement and to Front Seat Cushion Replacement Front Seat Cushion Replacement.

5. Remove the hog rings from the seat back and the cushion.

6. Remove the seat cover from the seat back and the cushion.

7. Peel the heater element off of the cushion.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the heater element to the cushion.

2. Install the seat cover to the seat back and the cushion.

3. Install new hog rings to the seat back and the cushion.

4. Install the seat back and the cushion. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement Front Seat Back Replacement and to Front Seat Cushion Replacement Front Seat Cushion Replacement.

5. Connect the SIR and the heated seat wiring harness.

6. Install the rear console compartment.

7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Service and Repair.
