Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair in General Information.
3. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the rear hub unit from the knuckle assembly, because the wheel speed sensor is not serviceable separately. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement Service and Repair in Rear Suspension.
Installation Procedure
Important:
The wheel speed sensor is served as an assembly, hub-wheel speed sensor. Therefore, the additional working procedure for air gap is not needed.
1. Install the rear hub unit. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement Service and Repair in Rear Suspension.
2. Connect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
