Scan Tool Data Definitions

Battery Voltage

The scan tool displays 0-15 volts.

Idle Switch

-
The scan tool displays ON or OFF. The scan tool will display ON when the engine is idling and OFF when the throttle is engaged.

SSS Commanded Current

-
The scan tool displays 0.00 to 2.00 amperes. The amount of current returning to the power steering control module from the actuator.

Throttle Position

-
The scan tool displays 0-3 volts.

Vehicle Speed

-
The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h (0-159 mph). The actual speed of the vehicle.

Warning Lamp State

-
The scan tool displays ON or OFF. The scan tool will display ON when the Speed Sensitive Power Steering warning light is commanded ON.
