Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair



MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator.
3. Remove the throttle body.
4. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor harness connector.
5. Remove the MAP sensor and the MAP sensor port seal if it is still retained in the intake manifold

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the MAP sensor with the port seal into the intake manifold
2. Connect the MAP sensor harness connector. Push in the connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
3. Install the throttle body.
4. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator.
