Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor Replacement (2.0L)

Removal Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Sensing and Diagnostic Module Handling Caution Sensing and Diagnostic Module Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Caution:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the trim from the upper center pillar.

3. Remove the side air bag sensor mounting bolts.

4. Remove the side air bag sensor.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the side air bag sensor.

Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the side air bag sensor mounting bolts.

Tighten the side air bag sensor mounting bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Install the trim on the upper center pillar.

4. Connect the negative battery cable.
