Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector for the back lamp switch.
3. Remove the retaining bolt for the back up lamp electrical connector bracket.
4. Remove the backup lamp switch.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the backup lamp switch.
^ Tighten the back up lamp switch to 20 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
2. Position the retaining bracket on transmission.
3. Install the retaining bolt for the retaining bracket.
^ Tighten the retaining bolt to 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.).
4. Reconnect the backup light switch.
5. Lower the vehicle.
