Subject: Speedometer Inaccurate/Displays Higher Than Actual Speed (Replace Instrument Panel (IP) Cluster)

2007-2008 Chevrolet Aveo 5-Door Hatchback
2006 Pontiac Wave
2007-2008 Pontiac Wave 5-Door Hatchback
Equipped with 1.6L DOHC Engine (VIN Code 6 - RPO LXT)

Attention:
This bulletin only applies to vehicles marketed in Canada (RPO Z49).

Important
This bulletin does not apply to the 2007-2008 model year four-door sedan Aveo or Wave.

Condition

Some customers may comment that the vehicle's speedometer is inaccurate. The indicated speed in the instrument cluster seems to be higher compared to the actual speed.

Correction

For customer satisfaction, the IP cluster should be replaced. The speedometer tolerance has been re-adjusted to reduce the speed discrepancy.
