Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Drain the engine of oil.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.





4. Remove the engine oil lever sensor.

Installation Procedure





1. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the drain plug.
^ Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the engine oil level sensor.
^ Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).





3. Reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Refill the engine. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid .
