EGR Tube: Service and Repair



EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE COOLER TUBE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the engine cover.




2. Remove the air inlet tube to intake manifold tube bolt and nut.




3. Remove the air inlet tube nuts.
4. Remove the air inlet tube.




5. Remove the rear exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler bolts.




6. Remove the EGR mount bolt.




7. Remove the EGR and cooler.




8. Remove the EGR cooler bracket bolts.
9. Remove the EGR cooler bracket.




10. Remove the intake manifold tube.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the intake manifold tube.




2. Install the EGR cooler bracket.
3. Install the EGR cooler bracket bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the EGR cooler bracket bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




4. Install the EGR and cooler.




5. Install the EGR mount bolt.

Tighten the EGR mount bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).




6. Install the rear EGR cooler bolts.

Tighten the rear EGR cooler bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




7. Install the air inlet tube.
8. Install the air inlet tube nuts.

Tighten the air inlet tube nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




9. Install the air inlet tube to intake manifold tube bolt and nut.

Tighten the air inlet tube to intake manifold tube bolt and nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

10. Install the engine cover.
