Ignition Coil: Service and Repair



IGNITION COIL HOUSING REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the ignition control module electrical connector.




2. Remove the ignition coil housing bolts.
3. Remove the ignition coil housing from the camshaft cover.
4. Remove the ignition control module, if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the ignition control module, if necessary.
2. Install the ignition coil housing to the camshaft cover.
3. Install the ignition coil housing bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the ignition control module electrical connector.
