Transmission Fluid Level Inspection





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Clean off any dirt from around the fill plug.
3. Remove the transmission fill plug.





4. The transmission fluid should be level with the bottom of the fill plug hole.
5. Add DEXRON III transmission fluid, if necessary.





6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the fill plug

Tighten the fill plug to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

7. Lower the vehicle.
