Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet

^ Tools Required
- J 38185 (SA9111E) Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

Important: Use the J 38185 (SA9111E) to gently release tension on the hose clamp until the hose clamp lock feature engages allowing removal of the hose.





1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill).
2. Using the J 38185 (SA9111E), release tension on the hose clamp at the water pump until the clamp locks.
3. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the water pump.
4. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.





5. Using the J 38185 (SA9111E), release tension on the hose clamp at the radiator until the clamp locks.
6. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.

Installation Procedure

Important: Release the hose clamp retention lock by using a small flat bladed screwdriver.





1. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
2. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention lock at the radiator.
3. Lower the vehicle.





4. Install the radiator outlet hose to the water pump.
5. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention lock at the water pump.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill).
