Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement



Radiator Hose Replacement - Inlet

^ Tools Required
- J 38185 (SA9111E) Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

Important: Use the J 38185 (SA9111E) to gently release tension on the hose clamp until the hose clamp lock feature engages allowing removal of the hose.





1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill).
2. Remove the left side diagonal brace.
3. Using the J 38185 (SA9111E), release tension on the hose clamp at the radiator until the clamp locks.
4. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.





5. Using the J 38185 (SA9111E), release tension on the hose clamp at the thermostat housing until the clamp locks.
6. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the radiator inlet hose to the thermostat housing.
2. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention lock at the thermostat housing.





3. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
4. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention lock at the radiator.
5. Install the left side diagonal brace.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill).
