Automatic Transmission Control Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Console Front Trim Plate Replacement.




2. Remove the shift cable retaining clip.
3. Disconnect the shift cable from the shift control assembly.




4. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid harness connector (4).
5. Remove the shift control nuts (2).
6. Remove the shift control (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the shift control (3) to the vehicle.
2. Connect the shift lock solenoid harness connector (4).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the shift control nuts (2).

Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




4. Connect the shift cable to the shift control assembly.
5. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Console Front Trim Plate Replacement.
