Radio Setup

The following service procedure requires programming or setup procedures to be performed on the radio.

Radio Replacement

Important: The radio setup will configure the radio amplifier (if equipped) and internal equalization settings. Without the following setup procedure, the sound quality and volume of the radio may be degraded.

Service Programming System (SPS) is required to setup the calibrations and to learn the vin for the vehicle. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS). Programming and Relearning

The scan tool can be used to learn the VIN. Without learning the VIN, the radio will display a locked message (LOC or LOCKED).
