HVAC Defroster Blows Cold Air During Remote Start Event (Reprogram HVAC Control Module)

Models:
2007 Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo

with Single Zone HVAC System (RPO C67)

Condition

Some customers may comment that after using the remote start, the defroster blows cold air when its cold outside or warm air when its hot outside. It appears to function the opposite of how it should.

Cause

This condition may be caused by a software anomaly within the HVAC control module.

Correction





A new calibration has been released to correct this condition. Reprogram the HVAC control module using SPS. This new service calibration is available on TIS2WEB.
