Battery Replacement (LZ4/LY7)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the battery box cover.




2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the positive battery cable.




4. Remove the battery tie down bolt.
5. Remove the battery hold down retainer.
6. Remove the battery from the battery tray.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the battery in the battery tray.
2. Install the battery hold down retainer.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the battery hold down retainer bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




4. Install the positive battery cable.

Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (138 lb ft).

5. Install the negative battery cable.

Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (138 lb ft).




6. Install the battery box cover.
