Bracket Replacement (2500)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (8.25 inch) (Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (8.25 inch))Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (9.25 inch) (Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (9.25 inch)) .
3. Remove the air conditioning compressor for the 4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines. Refer to Compressor Replacement (LY2, LY5, LH6, L76, L92 and LMG) Compressor Replacement (HP2) .




4. Remove the nuts and the washers from the bracket.
5. Remove the bracket from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the bracket to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .


2. Install the washers and the nuts to the bracket.

Tighten the bracket to frame nuts to 90 N.m (67 lb ft).

3. Install the air conditioning compressor for the 4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines. Refer to Compressor Replacement (LY2, LY5, LH6, L76, L92 and LMG) Compressor Replacement (HP2) .
4. Install the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (8.25 inch) (Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (8.25 inch))Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (9.25 inch) (Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (9.25 inch)) .
5. Lower the vehicle.
