Removal
Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor
Engine Cooling SystemRemoval 1.
Turn off the ignition.
2.
Disconnect the harness connector of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.
3.
Drain cooling water.
4.
Remove the ECT sensor.

Clear the old sealant from the ECT sensor threads and the thermostat housing threads.
