Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the catalytic converters. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L)) and Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L)).
3. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.




4. Remove the backup lamp switch.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the backup lamp switch.

Tighten the backup lamp switch to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).




2. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.
3. Install the catalytic converters. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (7.0L)) and Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L) (Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (7.0L)).
4. Lower the vehicle.
