Torque Converter Cover: Service and Repair




Torque Converter Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




2. Remove the transaxle brace (4). Refer to Transmission Brace Replacement Transmission Brace Replacement.




3. Remove the torque converter cover bolts.
4. Remove the torque converter cover.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the torque converter cover.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the torque converter cover bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Install the transaxle brace (4). Refer to Transmission Brace Replacement Transmission Brace Replacement.
4. Lower the vehicle.
