Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement - Frame

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the exhaust system, if necessary.




3. Remove the bolts retaining the heat shield to the frame.
4. Remove the heat shield.
5. It may be necessary to SLIGHTLY bend the heat shield for clearance to remove.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the heat shield to the frame rail.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the heat shield bolts and tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb in).
3. Install the exhaust system, if necessary.
4. Lower the vehicle.
